The Northwich River Festival and Regatta took place from Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th August, and we, the CUE team, were so pleased to have been part of it. It was a fabulous weekend for everyone. Northwich town was vibrant with life and festivity and, to our amazement, the sun shone all weekend!

The CUE team were present for both days of the weekend event to ensure that everything ran smoothly for client Barons Quay. The main festival site was located outside Barons Quay’s Odeon, where the large steps provided an excellent viewpoint over the River Weaver to watch boats battle it out across the finish line. We also designed the branded flags and balloons for the event, which the CUE team handed out to visitors on both days.

The crowds of Northwich flocked to watch and participate in the boat races, which included the Rowing Regatta and the Dragon Boat races. There were plenty of activities going on for everyone to get involved, such as an Artisan Market, trade and charity stalls, children’s rides and emergency service displays. With the delicious smells coming from the variety of food, including Wildwood’s barbecue, it was any foodie’s heaven. Drink stalls also ensured that people could enjoy a nice glass of rosé or pint of beer in the rare sunshine.

To capture what a fun-filled weekend it was, CUE organised for a professional photographer to attend the event. These photos can now be viewed on the Barons Quay Facebook page. The CUE team also made frequent updates on Barons Quay’s and CUE’s various social media accounts throughout the weekend, sharing events that took place and the offers available, such as Northwich’s annual Duck Race and the free popcorn and candyfloss stands.
